Relationship milestones by days

Counting in days turns an ordinary Tuesday into something to celebrate. These are the milestones couples mark most often, and roughly when they land.

MilestoneAboutWhy couples mark it
100 days3 months, 1 weekThe classic first milestone, big in Korean couple culture.
6 months~182 daysHalf a year: past the honeymoon phase and still choosing each other.
1 year365 daysYour first anniversary and a full cycle of seasons and holidays.
500 days1 year, 4½ monthsA fun, unexpected one most couples don't see coming.
1,000 days~2 years, 9 monthsThe big round number. Worth a proper date night.
2,000 days5 years, 5½ monthsProof it's a long game. Many couples are married or living together by now.
10,000 days27 years, 4 monthsA once-in-a-lifetime count that few people ever calculate.

How the calculator works

The years, months and days are counted on the calendar, not by dividing by 365, so leap years and 28-, 30- and 31-day months come out right. Hours, minutes and seconds are counted from midnight on your start date in your own time zone.

Want the count somewhere you'll actually see it? Duora's home screen widgets put your days together, a shared drawing canvas and love notes right on your lock screen, and the daily questions and couple games give you something to celebrate each milestone with.

Questions

How do I calculate how long we've been together?

Pick the date your relationship started. The calculator counts the full calendar years, months and days between that date and today, accounting for leap years and months of different lengths, then converts the total into weeks, hours, minutes and seconds.

Does the first day count as day 1?

By default the day you got together is day 0, so the count shows full days that have passed. Many couples, especially in Korea, count the first day as day 1. Turn on "Count our first day as day 1" to use that style.

How many months is 1,000 days together?

1,000 days is about 32.9 months, or 2 years, 8 months and 3 to 4 weeks depending on the dates. Enter your start date to see the exact day your 1,000-day anniversary falls on.

What is a 100-day anniversary?

A 100-day anniversary marks 100 days since a couple got together, a little over three months. It is a popular milestone in Korean couple culture, alongside 200, 300, 500 and 1,000 days.

Is the date I enter saved anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Your date and names are never sent to a server. Only the date is added to the page link so you can share or bookmark your result. See our privacy policy.

Can I keep a days-together counter on my phone?

Yes. Duora is a free couple app for iPhone and Android with a Together-for home screen widget that counts your days and shows your next milestone, synced for both of you.
